Is this workshop absolutely free?

Yes, the Beginning Outdoor Photography Workshop is 100% free but free tickets are needed to make sure we have enough seats for everyone that wants to attend..

We put it on because we love the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge and its’ wildlife and we want to share our love for photographing birds, butterflies, sunsets, and nature with others who appreciate the outdoors like we do.

We just ask anyone who comes to the free workshop to go to our subscribe page and sign up and follow our blog.

By doing this, you will get email notifications for future blog posts when we write and photograph about the refuge as well as other places in nature we like to photograph.

Following our blog is also the best way to stay informed about the free workshop as well as other events we may put on throughout the year.

What do I need to bring?

We suggest you bring some pen and paper to take notes.

You don’t need any photography gear for the class but the workshop gets over around noon so anyone wanting to head out to the refuge auto tour route afterward can take the afternoon and practice some of the photography concepts we will be discussing.

The tundra swans are usually on the refuge this time of year and make for a great trip for bird watchers and photographers alike.
