Quite often I get asked what brand and type of camera lens I use for bird photography.
I have photographed birds with a couple different camera lenses over the years, including stock Canon lenses that came with my cameras as well as both Sigma and Tamron brands of lenses.
For bird photography, I typically use the 600 mm size lens (As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.) and I finally settled on the Tamron brand of camera lens and have been using it for quite a few years now with very pleasing results as you can see below with a few images taken with my old Canon Rebel camera and Tamron 150-600 mm lens.
My camera arsenal comprises of several Canon cameras, including an MKii 7d, 70D, and an old Rebel t4i and I have used my Tamron 150-600 mm lens on all of these cameras with great results.
The Tamron 150-600 mm lens is available for Canon, Nikon, and Sony brands of cameras.
But instead of re-posting data found all over the internet on the Tamron 150-600 mm lens specifications, I’ll post a few images below taken with this lens showing my own personal results with it and a link below to Amazon where all the specifications and other data on the lens can be found.
