Today, I was out on Antelope Island State Park working on a couple blog post ideas.
Yes, I know it’s a grueling job but somebody has to do it, right?
I decided to stay the entire afternoon because, honestly, from what everybody tells me yesterday was the day to beat all other days regarding photographing sunsets on the island so I decided to stick around in hopes of a repeat performance.
Well, it didn’t happen, at least not anywhere near what yesterday’s sunset gave those fortunate enough to enjoy that is.
But I will say, even though it was quite a bit smaller, tonight’s sunset, shown above, wasn’t a throwaway by any stretch of the imagination.
The Great Salt Lake is a gem, a literal treasure-trove for glorious sunsets for anyone wanting to just get outdoors and enjoy some peace and serenity for a short time.
In fact, there were quite a few people that showed up just before the sun started to drop, obviously there to just enjoy the sunset even without a camera in hand.
Even far more than bird photography, photographing sunsets is, without question, the most soothing thing for the soul I have ever done.
And sometimes it’s just nice to get away from our modern-day steel and asphalt jungle and just sit and enjoy something as simple but so powerful as a grand sunset.
For those of you that are into outdoor photography and want to learn how to photograph sunsets, head on over to my photography website where I have a blog post about that very subject.
Anyways, I thank you for subscribing to and reading my blog, and I truly appreciate the shares on social media as well.
